December 2007
CONGRATULATIONS to the Gearharts
on the very short finish of Giselle's Open lure coursing career!
"Giselle" (HH Uma Rapiti
Luck Be a Lady, FCH) finished her ASFA FCH at the Tallahasse
Trials
with back to back 1st placements!
Now onto her LCM!!
"Bo" and "Amber" began their coursing
careers this fall as well, and in only 2 trials
"Amber" has 86 points and a first
and a 2nd placement while her best friend "Bo" has 44 and a placement.
"Amber" Windsong HH Sirius
Amber Alert is closing in on her AKC bench Ch...to date, she has
11 points with both majors
including recent BOB and BOS wins
over specials. Bo (HH Heartland Leblanc Mirabeau) is waiting
for Amber to finish so she can get into the ring in 08!
"Kipling" HH The Elephants
Child finished his ASFA FCH easily this year and is working on his LCM.
JL's HH South Oaks Fleur De La
Coeur "Fleur" earned her CGC test at only 6 months!
Pretty good for a goofy greyhound
puppy girl!! She's is proving that greyhounds can do great things
in obedience! Good Going, Laureen!!!
Watch for "Fleur" and litter
sister JL's HH Rita Skeeter to begin their show and lure coursing
careers next year!
Also watch for their cousin Sun
Fire HH Faunwood Sparkler in the ring and on the coursing field! She's
the beautiful white and red one !!
We are contemplating possibly 2
whippet litters next year!! (WHAT ARE we THINKING???? Check

In addition she is proving to be
a valuable brood bitch having produced
several BIF winning Top Ten
Ranked Lure coursers in the AKC program and in Canada.
One of her daughters from her first
litter is major pointed and
she has a sweepstakes winner from
her second!
Of course all of this wouldn't

pts....In FCH Baby Bop was 2nd, Stewie was 4th and Deja was NBQ!
In Veterans Greta was 1st to finish her
Veternas LCM Sydney was 3rd and Cary was 4th.

GOGLCA Brooksville, FL Lure Coursing BAD BOY "KIP"
(HH The Elephant's Child) started his Lure coursing career with a big 1st in a huge Open Stake of 17 whippets!!
He is only 13 months old! Baby Bop was 3rd and Goldie was NBQ in Field Champions.
Bert tied for 1st in FCH Greyhounds but forfeited to sister Pyro and he now needs **1** pt for his LCM!!!

"The most exciting thing that happened today
was that RINGER managed to get himself into the top 10!!!
He was 10th in a 32 dog NAWRA meet in the NW
where all the super fast race dogs race!!! I couldn't believe it.
He has made it into the top 10 several times
on the oval but I never expected him to have such a great day on the straight
track"

on Sept 30 and is very close to his OTRM2 ! !

We had a good weekend at the GOGLCA Lure Coursing trials in Brooksville...
On Sat. Oct 14, 2006 "Taya"
won the FCh Stake and BOB! "Baby Bop" was 2nd and "Goldie"
was 3rd. "Greta" (mother
of Taya) won the Veteran Stake, Cary was 2nd and Sydney was NBQ!!
On Sunday Oct. 15, 2006 "Danica"
(HH Heartland Heart of Gold)made her debut and
won the Open stake and went on
to BOB!! She is a Tommy daughter (Greta grand daughter) Taya was
3rd in the FCh stake,
Baby Bop was 4th and Goldie was
NBQ. Sydney won the Veteran stake and Cary was 3rd!!
Bert survived a hard collison in
the prelims but came back to win the Greyhound FCh stake!

Heartland The Rodeo Queen (Reba) was BOB on Sunday, Oct 3. Both
earned 1 point each.
Reba is turning out to be quite the little head
turner.

Her practice at the Salina Kennel Club puppy
match brought home a Group 1 Ribbon. And then Sunday
under Bonnie Lonnil Clarke she roped a RWB to
a major :)

We tried racing (NOTRA) for the very first
time and had a good time despite running a bunch of rookies who had never
worn a muzzle
or been box broken. (Tommy, Taya, Mac, Sydney,Bella,
and Baby Bop) ....I think everyone won at least 1 race....
several won several races and ended up in the
Top Ten...and ALL earned lots of OTR points!!!
OH and Bert earned 2 legs towards his JOTR title!
"Ursula" HH Heartland Perfect Moon....
made her showring debut at the Gainesville Dog
Fanciers Association Match and won BEST PUPPY IN MATCH!!!
The "Beauty Queen" litter girls are making their
showring debuts this month.
They are named for one of our favorite whippet
women CH Saxon Shore Flashing Lights, FCh, ROM
aka "Maxine the Beauty Queen". This litter
is line bred on her and these little girls are
very exciting having gorgeous faces, solid bodies
and spectacular movement !!!
They were co-bred and co-owned with Vickie Smith.
At the CKC shows May 22, and 23......HH Heartland
The Snow Queen "Snow" won 3 puppy BOB's 2 Group 1s and a Group 2.....
her sister HH Heartland The Sweet Potato
Queen "Goldie" won 1 BOB, Group 1 and RESERVE BEST IN SHOW!!!!
HH Heartland The Rodeo Queen makes her AKC debut
in a couple of weeks in the Midwest with Vickie.

His brother Eraser Nose earned his CGC and has
1 leg towards his CD!
Hopefully he will earn the other 2 legs this
year which would
qualify him for his Versatility Certificate.
The Greta x Derek puppies are off to an amazing
start in lure coursing...
out west "Ringer" (HH Serendipity Eight
Bells) has been to 2
ASFA trials and won BOB at both of them!
Taya (HH Bal du Moulin Rouge)
has 87 points including a first and 2nd a BOB
and a BEST IN FIELD!!!
Kai (HH Sweet Smell of Success) also has a 40
point 1st place, as does "Tommy" (HH Heartland Fame).
Deja and Ariel have yet to make their debuts.
The repeat litter is looking good with
"Pokey" (HH On Broadway)
making his CKC debut and winning
2 BOBs and a Hound Group 1
and Hound Group 2 from the 6-9 month puppy class.
HH Baby Bop has 90 points including a BOB over Top Ten competition.
